artsquest 2018
On Mother's Day weekend I was in the Artsquest Fine Arts Festival at Grand Blvd in Sandestin. I was excited to be a part of this show, and happy with the final outcome. This is a great show put on by the Cultural Arts Alliance of Walton County, as a part of Art Week South Walton.
As with most art shows, there is usually some kind of extreme weather, and that weekend just happened to be all of a sudden extremely hot here in Destin, along with a surprise heavy rain pour (and chance of hail!) at the very end right about when it was time to break down.
Each art show I participate in gratefully brings new experiences, feelings, ideas and relationships. Currently I'm enjoying a feeling of happiness due to finally being at a point in my journey as an artist where my art is recognizable by style. I always enjoy building or deepening relationships with the other artists at the show; along with each unique character that enter the booth with questions about process, materials, subject matter and whatever else comes up.
