ARTWORX @ Beachworx and local artist Maxine Orange present the first series of creative workshops at BEACHWORX. This select group of featured area creatives will share their expertise with you, in hopes to provide creative inspiration - an opportunity for anyone and everyone, to open your mind and do something different. No artistic experience is needed. All you have to do is be open to exploring a creative activity - promoting the right kind of fuel for your brain to make new ideas, and a gateway to finding or furthering more creativity in your life. It’s just good for your brain. Challenge yourself to try something different.

Creative Connections

Hope was one of the 3 awesome models that showed up. Not being afraid to put my creative idea out in the world provided the opportunity for a deeper connection with each of these beautiful women as I started creating this new collection of paintings. There is something magical about the feeling you get when wearing a wedding dress, no matter who or where you are along the journey of life.

LoveThyself - UMA Sculpture

When my creative friend Maurice Hunter asked me to create a sculpture with him for the Underwater Museum of Art, I jumped at the challenge without really even thinking about it. Maurice has an organization and a movement that is all about SELF LOVE. As a confident woman I know how important that can be, especially in the world we live in today, so I appreciate the passion he has for sharing the message. We quickly created the concept of a woman standing in a confident pose in front of a mirror with the words LOVE THYSELF across the top. When viewing our sculpture from the front, YOU are her reflection in the mirror.

Being accepted as one of the UMA artists (in year #2 of existence) was an honor. The process of figuring out how we would create our sculpture was quite an experience that continually pushed me way outside of my comfort zone.
