Fashionably Late Diptych - Abstract Fashion Maxine Orange

This trio of confident women in their whimsical, high fashion dresses tromp through the misty ethereal woods without a care in the world. 

When I'm not working on commissions, I am creating these semi-abstract paintings - usually starting from inspiring bridal or fashion imagery that I find on Instagram, and letting my imagination take over as I go. 

The "Fashionably Late" diptych painting was created on a pair of 16" x 40" deep profile 1.5" canvas panels. The work features colored resin drips with layers of acrylic paint, liquid watercolors, and grout, with a final layer of high gloss resin on top. The background colors are a mellow greenish gold and silver ombre surrealist abstract landscape reminiscent of NW FL dune lake trees, with the muted female figures in the foreground.
